An opportunity to dig deep, peel back the layers, get back to your roots & reconnect to your dream and passions.
3 day break from your busy schedule
Located in the 'Green Heart of Italy'
Lead by 2 of London's leading holistic practitioners
Time to reflect & reconnect with your dreams, explore the space that responsibilities and work take up and to determine your next steps. Whether you are looking to re-charge your batteries or to move forward in a new direction, this retreat will give you that space.
Skilled gentle guidance in this from two of London’s leading health practitioners – Caroline Gaskin & Lynn Murphy.
“Since we were young mothers, Lynn & I have long talked about working more closely together. We’ve supported each other in our training – me as a health practitioner and Lynn as yoga teacher” – Caroline
“What truly matters to me in my work is the help I can give women at transitional key moments in their lives. By using a number of simple but practical elements such as touch, yoga and meditation on one’s breath we can help to facilitate discussion and awareness of these changes and empower women on their unique life’s journey” – Lynn
After the success of last years Beyond Perfect Retreat, we are excited to be back at Monestevole this Spring. Here’s some lovely feedback from last year:
“Excellently planned retreat, the schedule was realistic, I had a real sense that both Lynn and Caroline really cared about each and every person here, despite not knowing us all.” – Charlotte
“Keep doing retreats please as I might have to come back!” – Claire
Each day, after a shared breakfast, we’ll start with yoga and meditation.

There’ll be time to journal, draw & reflect, take a dip in the pool, have a massage and even horse riding or a guided walk out into the countryside will be available. Each night we’ll close with a cozy (possibly fireside) chat.
This retreat is open to women from all walks of life, at any stage.

Lynn has 30 years of experience in the field of yoga, after the birth of her two children she trained at the world renowned Active Birth Centre, London, specialising primarily in the pre & postnatal period. On completion she was invited to teach at the centre were she continues to this day as Co-Director. She is involved in trainings for practitioners here and elsewhere.
Lynn’s teaching skills were recognised early, after gaining a BA Hons in Graphic Design followed by a Postgraduate in Printmaking, she was invited back to teach on the printmaking course and combined this with Motherhood before deciding to retrain in her other love yoga.
Lynn’s yoga teaching is Scaravelli inspired, she focuses on the deep intelligence of the body that is within all of us. believing that if we look carefully enough with attentive guidance we will find movement that resonates from our very core allowing us to undo years of held patterns.
She first discovered this approach in the pregnancy yoga classes she attended followed by her training 22 years ago. Prior to that her personal yoga journey began with Iyengar classes in her early twenties and continued along this path till she fell in love with the approach of Vanda Scarevelli.
She also delivers classes & workshops in her local children’s centre and hospital, for parents as well as midwifes & obstetricians. Her aim is to help in the improvement of services for women, believing strongly that women’s health is a political and feminist issue.
She continues to deepen and develop her approach with ongoing trainings in Thai Yoga Massage and Hana Somatics, alongside her practice of yoga with teachers that include Sandra Sabatini & Donna Fahri
Lynn has trained, tutored and taught many women over the last decades, sharing her skills in yoga, touch and mindfulness while bringing positivity and joy into all she shares with others.
I always breathe a sigh of relief when I arrive at Lynn’s Monday night yoga. I know that I will leave a different person – relaxed, energised and more peaceful. Lynn is so sensitive to the different needs of everyone in the group that it almost feels like a one-to-one! Her approach to yoga is thoughtful yet playful and is the perfect way to start the week. – Roz
I wanted to thank you for being such a great teacher – I’ve done a fair bit of yoga over the years but this is the first time I feel like I’m learning how to do it properly. It’s like starting at the beginning again but with so much more understanding. So thank you so much. – Jules
